It was warm in the Check Room with the furnace burning. Ash and Choco inspected every bit of the vegetables for their use. They wanted to make sure that they are fit for Creamy’s pantry. Goggles loves to watch them prepare for the winter. She helps by stomping on the tomatoes to make tomato juice. Sometimes, they are used to make soup. Goggles can’t wait until winter!

The night was falling and it was getting cold in the desert. Rusty started to weep. “I’m so cold and hungry.” He was missing his warm kitchen where he could cook up a proper meal. Ash and Creamy just looked at him all drained themselves. Just then, Pan heard someone calling. He found a huge cactus greeting him. “Hello one bear! It is good to finally see someone pass by.” When he looked up, he saw a huge cactus and behind her, the most beautiful array of stars he had ever seen.

When the Thorn Bushes start rolling in to choke up the Vegetable Garden, Pan and his rabbit family pack up. They take their desert survival kit and visit the edge of The Forest of Mystery. Thorn bushes at the edge of the forest die from the overheating Bubbling Mountain. When the dead thorn bushes are blown by the wind, they come all the way to the garden and cause mischief. Pan makes sure that he minimizes the Thorn Bushes from blowing into the garden by redirecting the deadly heat from the Bubbling Mountain.

Goggles packed her adventure kit. The most important being the microscope. She was ready to go out and explore. Just then, the rain poured down. Goggles was so sad. She crouched and looked out into the pouring rain. Rusty came behind her and asked if she wanted to cook today. He suggested that today was a wonderful day to light up the kitchen stove. Goggles agreed. They went to the kitchen to make salad and Rusty’s famous Pea Soup! Sometimes changed plans can be more fun than expected!

“What a wonderful day for a visit to Maddie,” agreed Ash, Mama Choco and Baby Goggles. They decided to take a dozen carefully collected acorns. When they arrived at the Flower Field, where Maddie lived, she mentioned that all the Gold Fish are coming out to play today. Baby Goggles jumped for joy. They walked together to the Mirror Pond to meet the fish and rolled around on the soft grass at the edge of the water. The sky never looked prettier on the Mirror Pond.

It is the beginning of mid-summer. PanGom and his friends Baby and Ash packed a basket full of beet sandwich and carrot juice. They also brought a magnifying glass, as usual, to have a closer look at the sand by the Big Water. It is always a treat to magnify the sand, each sand grain so different from the rest. It’s like looking at the stars from below in a vast array of kaleidoscope.
